The Book Fair is coming! We are continuing our 10-year celebration of Gardner Bullis with a birthday party theme, and you are all invited! In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to Project Night Night, a Bay Area-based non-profit that provides children in homeless shelters with a new book, blanket and stuffed animal in a special tote bag. Project Night Night strives to give children something of their own that provides a little bit of comfort and the confidence to deal with what's in front of them.
Gardner’s goal is to create 100 bags for 100 kids in need. 100 canvas tote bags and stuffed animals have already been donated to our cause!
Here’s how you can help:
Dec. 10 through 14 – Book Fair! Please consider donating a new book purchased from our Book Fair for Project Night Night. A portion of all book sales also benefit Gardner Bullis. One raffle ticket will be given for each book purchased and raffle winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 14. Students will earn a Book-In Day if we reach our goal of 100 books!
Dec. 13 – Book Fair Party and Service Night! Please come to the Gardner Bullis library from 6-8 pm for treats and to help assemble 100 bags to donate to Project Night Night and make a difference in our community. Mrs. O will be on hand to help lead the charge!
Finally, PLEASE help us by signing up to help at the Book Fair! It’s fun, it’s social and it’s easy. We have slots available in the morning, during lunch and after school – you can sign up at https://tinyurl.com/

Notice from the District Nurse:
School is a place where colds and diseases can spread rapidly. Children who are ill should stay home from school, rest and recuperate. Sometimes it is difficult, especially early in the morning, to know whether or not to send your child to school. The following guidelines are indications that you should keep your child home:
Fever of 99.6 F or higher
Vomiting or diarrhea
Chills
Nausea
Coughing, sneezing and/or runny nose
Headache
Wheezing or trouble breathing
Sore throat or trouble swallowing
Rash or unusual sores or spots
Generalized muscle aches and pains
Unusually red, crusted or burning eyes
Head Lice
It is required to keep your child home until he/she has been symptom free without medication for 24 hours. Please call the Gardner Bullis Attendance Line (650-559-3232) 24 hours/7 days a week.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping us all healthy!
